The Nest Arts Factory in Bridgeport is proud to announce the fall exhibition of MAINE: 20 years of painting at Rock Gardens Inn. The opening reception will be held Sunday, October 20th from 2 - 4pm with many of the artists present.
Please join us in celebrating the wonderful artwork that has been created in and around Rock Gardens Inn in Sebasco Estates, Maine. This magical place has been an inspiration to this group of artists for the past two decades.

Songwriting Workshop at
the Mark Twain Museum

Although there are many components to songwriting, this workshop will focus on the craft of lyric writing. I am excited about being able to take what I've been teaching in a magnet high school and make it available for all ages. All skill levels are welcome. Everyone will be free to work at their own pace. If you've got songs in you, come on out and give it a try.

Currently on exhibit in Gilbert Gallery in Main Building through October 31 are works by Sheri Schwartz .
Sheri Schwartz was born in New Britain, Connecticut. She has a BFA from Boston University and is a graduate of Western Connecticut State
University where she earned her MFA in 2013. At Boston University, Sheri studied with Reed Kay and Arthur Polonsky of the Boston Expressionist group, and John Moore who is represented by Hirschl & Adler Galleries, Inc. and Locks Gallery. In graduate school, Sheri studied with Darby Cardonsky, Margaret Grimes, and Marjorie Portnow, along with Robert Alberetti and Riley Brewster, both for whom she was a teaching assistant. She was the recipient of the W.B.Connor Trust Scholarship. Her work has been shown in group exhibits including the Blue Mountain Gallery and First Street Gallery, both of NYC. Her artist interview was published on Two Coats of Paint blog in 2013. She is an associate professor at Post University in Waterbury, CT.
The reception is October 19th from 5 to 7 p.m.
