TRAVIS LOUIE

MISFITS

Continues through July 2, 2022

Clyde the Clawed Frog

Clyde the clawed frog was thought to have the reincarnated soul of Ronald Fisher, a greeter that worked the entrance of a Jamesway discount department store in Secaucus, New Jersey. He currently resides in a large fish tank in a modest home in upstate New York where he waves and greets everyone who enters. If one looks closely, Clyde appears to be giving directions.

For more information, please call the gallery at 413-587-9880 or send us an email at info@wbfinearts.com. The gallery is located at 36 Main St. in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts and is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 am - 5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.

Artifact
Megyn Craine

Exhibit runs: Through June 25, 2022

Megyn Craine is an interdisciplinary artist who sees art making as a process of discovery. Her work is a reflection of how she interprets the world around her. It encourages us to look a little deeper, to question the way we understand our own world and its meanings for us.

Artifact is a collection of work that mixes common materials with various concepts—from Alzheimer’s to Ancient Greece—to reveal unseen connections and create new layers of meaning from our everyday experiences.

“A Sense of Place” suggests a feeling of belonging: to a household, a neighborhood, a town. In the last few years, as loss of jobs and income has been widespread, and there has been a striking increase of homelessness.

Debi Pendell, Diane Sawyer, Sarah Sutro, and Betty Vera are local artists who have been working together as North Adams Contemporary (NAC). Concerned about the challenges and losses faced by so many, they created this art exhibition to raise money to help those in need. They chose to focus on the local community by supporting Louison House, a resource for people in Northern Berkshire County who are struggling with housing issues. This exhibit will include a wide variety of the artists' work. Pieces range from large to very small, and are all available for sale.
