CITY-WIDE OPEN STUDIOS BEGINS TONIGHT!
Grand Opening Reception: Friday, October 14, 5pm-late
Join us at Artspace (50 Orange Street) to celebrate the grand opening of the Open Studios Festival Exhibition, featuring one work by each participating CWOS artist. Free! At 6pm, take a break from gallery-gazing and start dancing as Outdoor Salsa has its final hurrah in the Artspace Lot (corner of Orange and Chapel). After 8pm, stroll around the neighborhood as L.A.M.P. (Light Artists Making Places) joins forces with Project Storefronts and merchants of the Ninth Square to light up the night and keep our party going after dark.
Erector Square Open Studios: Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, noon-5pm
For the first Open Studios weekend, 100 artists in the former Erector Set factory will open their studios to the public—visit our artists as we celebrate their practice, share their process, and showcase the vitality and diversity of New Haven as a creative hub. With demonstrations and live music! 315 Peck St, New Haven.
