Art Around the West End:
- Group Exhibit Opening Reception and Silent Auction, Friday, September 26th 6:30-9:30 in the Fellowship hall of the Unitarian Society of Hartford Meeting House, 50 Asylum Avenue, Hartford
- The entire event is free. Visitors to the reception may opt to give a free will suggested donation of $5.00. There will be ArtAround posters and various art for sale from the collection of Dan Blow (of Japanalia fame) and his partner Larry Wilhelm (of architectural design fame),
- followed by two days, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th 11am to 5pm of a self-guided walk of open studios in artists homes/studios and various other West End locations - map can be downloaded from the website and will be available at the opening reception as well as businesses listed on the website. Artists opted to exhibit both or only one of the days and selected times to exhibit within the 11-5 time slot of the event, so times vary per artist and can also be found on the map.

Twenty-eight of Mia Brownell’s paintings will be on display at the
Housatonic Museum of Art in the Burt Chernow Galleries from September
25th thought November 17, 2014. An opening reception will be held on
Thursday, September 25, from 5:30pm until 7pm. This event is free and
the public is cordially invited to attend.

together in one location. Through his execution of perfect planes and
angular geometric shapes, Neffson creates wide angle, almost
photographic paintings of the great cities of Europe and the U.S.
