Between The Lines
Works by Carole P. Kunstadt
October 23rd to December 28th, 2014.
We are excited to open the second part of this exhibition (the first was at the Charter Oak Cultural Center). Our exhibition showcases drawings from Carole P. Kunstadt's Revelations Series and recent creations from the Sacred Poem Series.
A reception, panel discussion, and Sacred Harp concert will be held on Thursday, November 13th, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The panel includes Kunstadt, Sacred Harp singer Ellen Lueck, Yale University music Professor Ian Quinn, Ph.D., and St. Patrick - St. Anthony Director of Music Ministry and musician Gabriel Löfvall. The concert will combine the choirs of St. Patrick - St. Anthony Church with Sacred Harp musicians and audience members.

4th Annual "Keep the Home Fires
Burning"
Community Fundraiser
Community Fundraiser
Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes in Pomfret
invites you to help keep the home fires burning for the many local families who
will need heating assistance this winter. Celebrations is selling HomArt wooden
matches in decorative boxes and Colonial Candles votives for $10 each now
through January 11, 2015 . Once
again, Celebrations will donate 100% of the sales to the Access Agency's
LIHEAP (Low Income Heating Assistance Program).
With the support of generous
customers, Celebrations has raised $7,500 in the past three years and
anticipates tremendous community support for the 4th winter season
of this community partnership. Shirley Riemann, Access Agency's Director of
Community Services, gratefully acknowledges the difference that Celebrations
and their customers have made and hopes for another successful year of this
fundraiser.
Each box of matches (in a variety
of decorative styles) and each votive (in several fragrances) is festively gift
wrapped and comes with a gift card to let recipients know that a donation has
been made in their name. "Keep the Home Fires Burning" matches and candles
make thoughtful holiday gifts and, more importantly, warm neighbors in need
during the cold winter months. Celebrations will also accept cash or check
donations for this fundraiser. To find out additional ways to assist Access
Agency’s programs, contact Shirley Riemann at 860-412-1603 or shirley.riemann@accessagency.org

RED HOT! Variations on a Theme
Saturday Oct. 25, 6-9PM
The show runs through November 30th and features new work created for the show by 40 painters and sculptors, each shedding a different light on the theme. The work has been arriving all week and we are delighted with each new piece, each a unique interpretation of Red Hot!
Many of the artists will be on hand for the opening, and the one and only Mark Taber will be tickling the ivories. Of course there will be plenty of wine, cider and lots of goodies and good company. It's a great way to celebrate all the colors of the season!
During the run of the show, everyone will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece and we will give out the Peoples' Choice awards (1st, 2nd and 3rd) on Sunday November 23 at a very special Sunday Salon.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday or any time!
