May Day is busting out with art!!

Artist’s Reception – Jacqueline Jones “Paint The Town”

May 1 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm  (Complimentary refreshments served)

PAINT THE TOWN!: This special one man exhibit by Glastonbury artist, Jacqueline Jones, focuses on local scenes of Middletown and the surrounding area painted in oils on location. These colorful, lively and spontaneous scenes include: Wesleyan University, Harbor Park, the Portland Quarry and various street scenes of churches, pubs and people. Inspired by her love of people and the joy of working in the open air, her oils are infused with a sense of wonder and vitality described through rich color and lively brushwork. Wind, warmth, voices and memories are woven into each piece as she finds endless inspiration in the realm of country and cityscapes; inhabited or uninhabited scenes that offer a strong abstract composition of light, character and solid form.

April 29–May 12

On Saturday, join us for a free, all-ages block party. No tickets are required to attend the all-day event, which features activities and performances designed by artists and community organizations. Additionally, we're offering free admission to the Museum—advance tickets are no longer available, but a limited number will be distributed day-of.
