"Painting Connecticut"
On View January 2 through 24, 2016
Scenes
from a state park in Union, a trail in East Hampton, Barn Island in
Stonington and from a window in Cheshire are inspirations for Maple and
Main artists who have turned what they experienced into paintings on
view in the gallery from January 2 through 24.
“Painting Connecticut” is a fascinating exhibit of 40 paintings that opens Saturday and includes an unusual view of Meriden, another from Bill’s Seafood in Westbrook, a depiction of O’Rourke’s Diner in Middletown, a window box in Southport, Job’s Pond in Portland and a vineyard in Newtown.
