Maple and Main Gallery Juried Show 2016
January 28 to March 13, 2016
Maple and Main is launching its first annual juried show. The gallery is housed on two floors in an iconic late 1700's building in Chester’s downtown and is now in its sixth year of business showing the work of Connecticut artists.
The show will be hung in the entire lower level of the gallery and will be on view from January 28 through March 13, 2016. Maple and Main will promote the show in online and print media, in repeated email blasts to 4000 plus recipients; in 1000 postcards sent to targeted guests. The show will be featured on our website and Facebook page and with signage.
There will be an opening reception with live music, wine tasting, wine, food and chocolates. The winner of the first place award will be able to have a show in the well appointed Stone Gallery during April 2016. It can be a solo show or you can choose to share the gallery with fellow artists. Maple and Main will provide staff and publicity.

About the Exhibition
Open to all media, “Impact” explores the motivations of the artist to create. We ask the artist to answer through their artwork, “What inspires you? Who or what is the driving force behind your need to create? What has left an impression on you that lead you to become the artist you are today?” Whether it is a mentor, an event, a concept, or a personal revelation, this exhibition will examine the many avenues that impact the contemporary artist.
