This year’s silent art auction, sponsored by BLICK Art Materials, will feature over 50 local artists. Bidding opens at 8 p.m. and will carry on until 10 p.m. Place a bid and then head outside to soak up one of the last nights of summer on the Museum terrace and lawn! Dance and laugh to the tunes of live Bluegrass while you sip on Limoncello Lemonades served up from our specialty cocktail bar, generously sponsored for the second year in a row by PEEL Liqueurs. At 10:30 head inside and dance the rest of the night away with the help of Hartford’s DJ Stealth.
The Backyard Summer Bash will be one of the best summer shindigs this side of the Mississippi! So throw on your overalls and meet us on the back porch!

and K. Levni Sinanoglu

August 25 through September 22, 2012

Artists' reception, Saturday, September 15, Noon until 2

Curated by Steven DiGiovanni

The Institute Library . 847 Chapel Street . New Haven, CT

Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 6:00 and Saturdays, 11:00 to 2:00
While rooted in the traditions of modernist practice and benefiting from the aesthetic and conceptual innovations of the early twentieth century, the works on exhibition speak back to a pre-Renaissance poetry of immanent and multi-dimensional, spaces. For these three artists, space is an agent and a medium. It is matter and form.
