MIXUS at Charter Oak Cultural Center, Hartford

NOVEMBER 29, 2012 – JANUARY 4, 2013
Reception: THR. NOV. 29, 5:30PM
MIXUS is a group of mixed media artists, with a particular emphasis on collage, who have been meeting and exhibiting together throughout the Greater Hartford area since 2003. The artwork in this exhibition is as varied as the artists that comprise the group. The work reflects a combination of styles and themes from minimalist interpretations of nature, people and places, to work that captures the energy and rhythm of dance, to stories told through parchment remnants from the creation of sacred texts in Israel. The MIXUS artists participating in the Charter Oak exhibition include: Judy Cantwell, Elaine Edelberg, Joy Floyd, Betty Friedman, Jill Henderson Pasanen, Vi Joshua, Hannah Libman,  Carolyn Q. Tertes, Lonny Wilhelm, Gretchen Wohlgemuth, C. Dianne Zweig.
