On May 17th, the Behnke Doherty Gallery will present it’s next exhibition, Passages,featuring the oil paintings of Vincent Giarrano and the glass sculpture of Adam Waimon. The show will run through June 23rd

Giarrano’s paintings are vivid depictions of contemporary life, often set against traditional backdrops.  The canvases in the show span scenes from his hometown of Washington, CT to the urban settings of New York City.   The artist has long had a fascination with both.

Taking landscape imagery and natural forms as their subjects, these artists present images that are far from everyday and familiar. Instead, they reveal strange worlds filled with aberrant forms, odd behaviors and unusual occurrences.
