Travel down Main Street and view the historic buildings as the tour guide recounts stories about the development of Main Street. Keep an eye out for sites adorned with yarn as part of “Knit-Hit Hartford,” our temporary public art project. Reservations recommended.

**Aetna Arts Week Kick-Off Happy Hour | The Russian Lady | 5pm
Let’s get the pARTy started! Grab a drink and an app with the Arts Council as you satiate your inner artist by coloring in some sketches of notable Hartford landmarks. Why not hop aboard the “Knit-Hit Hartford” craze by drawing in some scarves?

Muggles are welcome to meet the Olivier Award-nominated masterminds of Potted Potter, Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, as they talk about the smash-hit parody of all seven books in the Harry Potter franchise and answer your questions. Bring your lunch to enjoy in the Bushnell’s courtyard before the show at noon!

Many artists create as a way of exploring the mystical realm, inviting the viewer to contemplate or linger on the image. Susan L. Talbott, Director and CEO, Wadsworth Atheneum, investigates art with spiritual associations ranging from Caravaggio to Bill Viola’s Ascension (2000) that search for meaning through visual form.
