With more than 800 paintings and 6,000 watercolors and drawings, the Hispanic Society of America Museum offers a comprehensive survey of Spanish painting and drawing. The collection of almost 1,000 works of art and sculpture contains outstanding pieces from the first millennium B.C. until the 20th century and represent Spain, Portugal and Latin American art. We think you’ll find the selection quite captivating, particularly with Its strong examples of the works by EL Greco, Velasquez and Goya as well as Joaquin Sorolla’s “Vision of Spain”. In addition you will marvel at the two sculptures of el Cid and Don Quixote. This museum is a true cultural gem!
