Reynolds Fine Art is pleased to present Paint & Stone. This exhibition will be featuring the artwork of Karen Green Recor and Rod Recor.  Both artists are local to New Haven county and will be featuring their works at the gallery from December 5th through January 31st. The artist reception is from 5-8pm on December 5th.

In addition, an excellent lineup of musicians will be playing on both days of Open Studios. Grammy award winner, Joseph Firecrow will be playing his beautifully alluring Native American music from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. Bill Benson, winner of Northwest Idol 2013, will be playing on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. and Eric Paradine will be playing on Saturday from 1-3 p.m.

The Holiday Sale and Artisan's Trunk Show are wonderful opportunities to purchase unique, hand crafted gifts. At the Trunk Show, you will find work by artists from throughout the Northeast, including scarves, jewelry, hand-made bags, glass, and ceramic vases. This event is one day only: Saturday, December 6 from 10:00-5:00. The one-of-kind items make spectacular gifts! As an added bonus, the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. The featured artists are: Joie Jager (jewelry); Leslie Giuliani (handmade scarves); Amanda Gundy (glass); Deborah Crichton (handmade bags); Brooklyn Slate Company (cheese boards and coasters); Mara Sfara (jewelry); and Sarah Healy (jewelry).

The Holiday Sale will be held in the School on Saturday, December 6, 10:00-5:00 and Sunday, December 7, 1:00-5:00. It will showcase work from Silvermine's distinguished faculty, many of whom are recognized masters in silversmithing, ceramics, and fine jewelry. The Sale will also include paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture, and wearable art. A portion of the proceeds from the holiday sale supports the School of Art Children's Scholarship Fund.

Happy Holidays from the Courtyard Gallery!
There is no better place to begin your holiday celebrating than with us at the Courtyard Gallery, Mystic's Hidden Treasure! We are all decked out and ready to welcome you to "Art for you Heart and Home", our winter and holiday show, featuring work from over 40 painters and sculptors. As most of you know, the Courtyard is known for showing original paintings and sculpture in a wide range of style and subject matters, as well as price range!

We hope you'll join us as we usher in the holidays with a festive opening reception on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 3-6 PM.
As always. many of the artists will be on hand and there will be plenty of food and drink, and the incomparable Mark Taber on the baby grand.
We will be open every day except Wednesdays in December - opening at 11:00 AM.

I delivered a carload of work to the library yesterday and was reminded just how beautiful the space is. What a treasure in northwestern Connecticut! 

SOLO show at the Norfolk Library in Norfolk, CT, from December 6-January 7, 2015. 

The exhibit will include paintings, woodcuts, and bas reliefs. (The library is not set up to accommodate sculptures.)  

OPENING Reception is this Sunday, December 7, from 4:00-6:00pm.

The library is open 7 days a week.
