There's no polar vortex at the Courtyard! Things continue heating up during Red Hot November!
This Sunday, November 23, we hope you'll join us and the friendly Red Dragon for a very special afternoon of art, poetry and music, not to mention wine, cider and lots goodies!

We'll begin with libations and our own Maestro Mark Taber on the baby grand at 3:00PM.
A dozen Red Hot poets have made their choices and at 4:00PM they will read their new works, each inspired by one of the 45 works of art included in our current show, Red Hot, Variations on a Theme. No two writers can chose the same piece and the artists do not know they have been chosen until Sunday!
You'll have until 5:00PM to cast your votes for your favorite painting or sculpture for the People's Choice Awards, which will be presented shortly thereafter. It promises to be an exciting afternoon, so don't miss the chance to be a part of it!

We are proud to continue our Red Hot November Salons on Sunday Nov. 30 with a book launch for Richard Harteis' new memoir WMD. We hope you'll join us for another exciting afternoon, Richard will read selections from the book, which even includes a bit here and there about the Courtyard Gallery! As usual the Salon will begin at 3:00 and the reading will begin at 4:00.

The gallery will be closed on Wed and Thurs November 26th and 27th for Thanksgiving, but stay tuned for lots of exciting events coming up soon. We'll send out a full schedule of December events next week!

Let's enjoy this season with an exhibition that explores celebration,  love and  family life!

Expressiones Cultural Center is pleased to present Argentinian Artist Juan Balaguer’s second solo exhibit at Expressiones. At this time, The Argentinian artist, from Rosario, is involved in lectures and workshops that benefit our public schools and local colleges. In addition, he is developing a series of lectures as well as workshops.
Balaguer will show a collection of his most recent artwork which has previously been shown  in Rosario, Argentina, his hometown. This series is large-size canvases that play with scenes from everyday life and a tension between the intimacy and private view and the public exposure of those scenes, creating a visual, singular language and at the same time, unique.
