SERENDIPITY GALLERY

November 20 - December 9

Opening Reception

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20th
6 - 9 pm

3AA West Street, Litchfield, CT 06759 . 860-921-1819

'ground.work' features works created during my first year living and working in the Litchfield hills. After 40 years of day tripping up north, I finally picked up and moved, lock, stock and barrel, last fall.
This landscape has always resonated with me, but living here is a different experience
than simply visiting. I've devoted time this year to walking the land, looking closely,
and slowly assimilating what I see and experience.

enjoy an afternoon of art, music, nature and conversation.
You will meet the 5 artists currently in residence. They'll be in their studios and happy to share glimpses into their creative process - as well as some of the ideas and works they've developed during their 4-weeks at I-Park.
After the studio visits and select artists' presentations, take a leisurely hike along I-Park's system of art/nature trails, including the special trail created to host this year's Environmental Art Biennale. Several of the installations from the September Biennale are still in fine shape.
EVENT DETAILS
1:30 - 3:00pm:  Meet the artists in their studios
3:00 - 3:45pm:  Artists' presentations, refreshments
3:45 - 4:45pm:  Guided Trail Walk - or grab a map and you can explore on your own
Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress accordingly as the trails are in hiking condition. Due to the fragile nature of the site installations, no pets are allowed.
