Bad at Sports? New Acquisitions to the Flatfile
Through August 30, 2019 Location: mActivity Fitness Center, 285 Nicoll St., New Haven, CT
A group exhibition that explores the validity of the notion that “all good artists are bad at sports.” In doing so, we find ourselves asking questions about the mind-body connection and its relationship to the ways we cultivate a sense of worth, strength, and care for others. As curators, we wonder how bad can an artist be at sports? And how, to begin with, do we define a “sport”?

I am honored to be included in this wonderful book art show in VT:
The broad theme of "UNBOUND VOL. IX" encompasses all of the possibilities of what we may think or may not think a "book" is. This juried show looks to explore this idea of "the book" and all the ways artists use that format as a stepping-off point or as material to explore new ideas.

Connecticut Women Artists 90th Annual National Open Juried Exhibition
On view through September 13
For over three quarters of a century, Connecticut Women Artists, Inc. has provided a forum for women’s artwork and continues to emphasize the importance of art in our society today.
The Connecticut Women Artists organization was founded 90 years ago in 1929 when thirteen women artists exhibited at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. Since exhibition opportunities were rare for women at that time these women began a society of female artists. One of this country’s oldest continuing art organizations for women, CWA now has over 170 elected members.
