Tao celebrates a day of painting with my Art in Community students

Old State House Community Mural Thurs. Aug. 8 (Rescheduled again!!)

Join in on the fun with Hartford artist Tao LaBossiere as he creates a beautiful mural at the Old State House! LaBossiere will design a line drawing on the bricks in front of the building and the public is invited to help color it in. Tao’s wife, Amy LaBossiere, will also be on-hand as an assistant artist and facilitator. Paintbrushes and paint will be provided so just bring your creativity and help make a masterpiece! The program is supported by the City of Hartford Arts & Heritage Jobs Grant Program, Pedro E. Segarra, Mayor.

Inside Out Inside: The August Installation August 2 - September 2, 2013 Opening Reception: Friday, August 2, 5 - 7 pm Artists Talk: Wednesday, August 7, 5 - 7 pm  Please join us this Friday from 5 to 7 pm for the opening reception for our 2013 August Installation, Inside Out Inside, featuring photographs by Ian Christmann, Jeffrey Kerekes, Al Muzzi, Kelly Jensen, Anthony DeCarlo, Miles Lasater and Chris Randall. Also mark your calendar for an Artists Talk next Wednesday, August 7! Inside Out Inside is a continuation of the 2012 public art project Inside Out New Haven, initiated by a group of artists and community organizers seeking to unite disparate communities within New Haven. Originally displayed under two highway overpasses, these large-scale portraits of New Haven citizens will be viewable from outside the CAW Hilles Gallery throughout the month of August.
